Why GOALS don't get you fit (not directly at least)
Written by CrossFit Athletic Team
Yup. Our goals are actually in the way of our goals (what?!)

I know I know... this goes against standard human nature because most people believe if they want to “get fit” they should try and “get fit”.

Yet most people who aim to get fit, rarely actually get any more fit. This is because lasting fitness is often derived from daily HABITS that are little to do with achieving a goal.

And whilst most of us won't take consistent and positive action in pursuit of our goals... we will put in superhuman effort to maintain our standards. And our STANDARDS come from our HABITS.

If you’ve ever tried to get “more fit” in the past, or got stuck at a certain level of fitness, then you might already know what we mean.

For us, this understanding has empowered us to help hundreds of people in our local area make lasting progress in becoming more healthy, vibrant and energetic versions of themselves.

Plus we've also realised that the key is just getting started with an understanding of building habits, instead of obsessing over results. Plus when we do it this way, we can even enjoy the process and end up sticking with it for the long term!
